Julie Denton

South Carolina and Georgia State Manager

JDenton@ClassicalConversations.com

Julie and her husband, Keith, have been married for 14 years and have been blessed with three wonderful children.  Julie graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Architecture.  Once they had their first child, Julie stayed home.  “Being blessed to stay home with my children has been an incredible gift.  My children and husband are my four favorite people in the world.  I wouldn’t want to be doing anything different with my life!”  When God opened the door to home schooling, it was a prayer answered.  “Bringing my daughter home after four years in a private school, I felt like I finally got my daughter back.  We learn together, we have real conversations and I can be the one to answer her tough questions.  God gave my husband and me these children.  He wants us to train them as little soldiers and love their little souls.  Can anyone else really do this as well as their own parents?”

“When Classical Conversations came into our home school two years ago, it opened the doors AND the windows to our life.  I saw all of the potential in my children that I never knew how to tap into.  This wasn’t the way I was educated.  I was always considered a very good student but when I look back, there is so much that I never learned.  Dates, people and events were something I crammed into my brain the night before a test.  I always received the A, but lost the facts soon after.  I didn’t sincerely learn.  The classical model, common place years ago, is a treasure for my family – one that we get to open and see what blessings God has in store for us each day.”

As state manager, it is my privilege to share this model with other moms.  I have met some of the most incredible women through this job – women who encourage me and show me how home schooling has blessed them.  I truly thank God for His Son, my husband, my children, the opportunity to home school, Classical Conversations, and the many women and men who have given up so much to answer God’s call to home school their children.  We are all in one army, doing God’s work through our children and for our children.  Yeah God!!
