Kim and her husband Jeff have been married for 14 years and are blessed to have 3 wonderful girls ranging from 9-12 years old.Kim has a BS in Biology from the University of SC and a MS in Nutrition from Clemson University. Following a brief stint in public school, they have homeschooled for almost 8 years and have been using a classical curriculum from the beginning.Finding Classical Conversations was the best thing that has ever happened to our home school.CC has allowed me to focus on the actual teaching aspect because so much of the groundwork has been laid in the curriculum guides, Kim says.I always knew that classical education best accomplished what I desired for my girls, but there was so much information out there and so many curricula that looked great, I found myself in constant search for just the right one.

After finding Classical Conversations at a home school convention in early 2006, I knew that this program was an answer to prayer.After just one year in CC, we saw leaps of growth in our girls. The new connectionsthey could form from having these mental pegs of knowledgelaid down in the memory work was incredibly exciting. Even watching television suddenly seemed to bring numerous opportunities to recall and discuss the information we had learned!

Sharing this vision with new families is my favorite part of my State Manager role. Many families want Classical education with a Biblical worIdview for their children, but simply don't know where to start. CC makes this type of education doable for all families, despite their own educational backgrounds. I feel incredibly blessed to have a role in empowering parents to make their home schools the best they can be. My sincerest thanks to Leigh for writing down what the Lord gave her, the corporate staff for the countless hours, and the ladies here in Illinois that make my job easy.
