Eighteen years ago, with the encouragement of my husband Ernie and the promptings of the Holy Spirit, we began our home schooling journey. I had intended to give home schooling a try for only one year, and then continue on with my education in the medical field. I was sure I would not be capable of home schooling my children, much less have the patience to spend all day with them. Deut. 6:4-7 became my home schooling life verse. God has transformed my heart and way of thinking. It can be said of my life that "God doesn't call the equipped, but equips the called."
