Who’s ready for a brand-new year of homeschooling?
(Mixed audience reactions follow…)
Whether you’re excited to start homeschooling in 2023 or could use at least an extra four weeks of Christmas vacation before getting back into the swing of things, we want to wish you and all other homeschool families out there a very Happy New Year.
Happy New Year!
Of course, this time of year is jam-packed with wonderful things—celebrations, rest, and time with family—so we’ll keep this post short today.
Instead of tips to prepare for the new year or advice on how to make the most of homeschooling in 2023 (we’ll get to posts like that soon enough!), we’ll just leave you and your family right now with some encouragement from Scripture to consider these upcoming weeks before starting homeschooling again:
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
– Isaiah 43:18-19
Whatever homeschooling in 2022 was like for your family, whether full of wonderful moments of learning or hard times of struggle, the new year makes way for a fresh start. Try to learn from your homeschooling mistakes, repeat your successes, and start off 2023 with the Lord guiding your way.
Of course, homeschooling in 2023 will have new challenges. But, just like every new year, with the right preparation and support, it can also be a time of exploration, discovery, and growth.
So, here’s to a great new year of homeschooling. May you and your family make the most of it!
