Classical Conversations® families—mark your calendar for Thursday, May 4, through Saturday, May 6, 2023. You’re invited to our annual National Conference near our home office in Southern Pines, North Carolina!
Presented by the nonprofit the Classical Conversations Foundation, this family-friendly, three-day event is a great opportunity to connect with the larger Classical Conversations community of homeschool families across the nation, to be inspired by key leaders in the home education movement, and for your children to enjoy active student camps.
Our past National Conference in 2022 coincided with the Classical Conversations 25th Anniversary Celebration. Here’s a video recap of all that happened to get your family excited for our upcoming National Conference in 2023:
What to Expect at Our 2023 National Conference
Our annual National Conference brings families from the thousands of Classical Communities scattered across the nation into one place for a three days of learning, encouragement, inspiration, fellowship, and fun. Here’s what you can expect during the event this spring:
Meet Classical Conversations Families From Around the Nation
National Conference is your chance to connect with the larger Classical Conversations community of homeschool families in the United States. Whether after a speaker event or at one of our many exhibitor booths from colleges and other homeschool-friendly organizations, you’ll be able to chat with other parents and students. This is a perfect opportunity to gather insights and advice from parents with students older than yours and to impart some wisdom to parents with younger students.
Plus, your child will be able to meet and have fun with other students from Classical Conversations communities nationwide during various scheduled activities, games, and student camps!
Learn from Leaders and Everyday Homeschoolers
Throughout our National Conference, you’ll learn from Classical Conversations leaders like our founder, Leigh Bortins, and CEO, Robert Bortins, as well as other key figures in the homeschool movement, such as IEW’s Andrew Pudewa. These speakers will discuss a variety of timely topics related to homeschooling, learning together in community, and the importance of a classical, Christian education.
These speaking sessions are aimed at inspiring and equipping you as a parent with the encouragement and tools to persevere throughout your homeschooling journey. Plus, you can learn from everyday homeschoolers in our discussion panels, including the all-new Dad Panel of six homeschool dads from all walks of life, as well as the beloved returning Grad Panel of Classical Conversations graduates.
We know homeschooling can be difficult sometimes—our National Conference is intended to be a time of refreshment and encouragement to help you finish the race strong!
