Curious about Classical Conversations? Never been to community Open House? Find out what we do in this "window" into Essentials (our English grammar, writing structure and style, and core math practice for ages 9 - 12). Children 9 and up welcome to participate in English grammar activity, fun math game, and writing. Join us in Sidney at the Amos Memorial Public Library in the main floor meeting room. Agenda • Welcome • Introduce classical, Christian, and community. • Overview of all three programs (Foundations for ages 4-12, Essentials for ages 9-12, and Challenge for 12+) • Overview of the Essentials program structure and content • Model conversations » Grammar Component: Analytical Tasks (participate in classical teaching and learning of English grammar) » Math Component: Number Knockout (play a super fun math game) » Writing Component: Passage Outline (learn how to learn--and how to classically teach--writing) • Reflect on the classical, Christian community embodied in the Essentials program. • Share a little more about the Foundations program. • Share a little more about the Challenge programs. • Provide next steps for families, Q&A
