Today is the National Day of Prayer and it is important today to remember to pray for those homeschooling families who may not be as fortunate as many of ours in their legal freedoms and to keep them in our prayers along with our leaders, families and friends.
John 15:5 (NIV): I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
During this season of Leigh at Lunch we were blessed to have John Bornschein, executive director of the National Day of Prayer Task Force on for an interview. If you missed it you can tune in here.
We have gathered some links to legislation and legal cases that are going on today across the world. Some cases may never affect you personally and some you may have never heard about potentially will affect the future of homeschooling and our freedom here in the US.
- German judge denies family the right to homeschool.
- Unfortunate case of abuse may lead to tighter regulations of homeschooling in Florida.
- The United Nations has legislation on a number of issues that could make it harder to homeschool across the globe.
- Some other cases HSLDA is working on.
As you gather today as a family, with friends or with your church group please remember to pray for these issues. Let us make today a powerful day of prayer in the homeschool community. Remember what Mathew 18:20 says: “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
