First of all—Happy Thanksgiving! Second, you know what Thanksgiving means—you’re more than halfway through the semester!
The holidays are upon us, and whether it’s your first semester homeschooling or your last, you’re almost to Christmas and a well-deserved rest.
Thank You Classical Conversations® Parents…
With that said, we want to seize this opportunity on Thanksgiving Day to share what we at the Classical Conversations home office are exceedingly thankful for—you.
Thank you for not only choosing to homeschooling your child, but also—and more personally—for choosing to homeschool with Classical Conversations.
…For Homeschooling Your Child
Homeschooling isn’t easy. It’s a sacrifice of your time, energy, and effort. This is why we often refer to homeschooling as a journey—because that’s exactly what it is!
Like a voyage across stormy seas or a trek over steep mountains, homeschooling is a journey that takes a lot of time (for most families, years!), perseverance, and a great deal of trial and error to figure things out.
But, like all exciting and memorable journeys, the destination is far worth worth it. The rewards you’ll reap from homeschooling your child, from experiencing those “aha” moments as they discover something for the first time to cultivating a student who loves to learn, are worth the cost of any hardships you’ll encounter along the way.
So, thank you for taking a leap of faith and starting your homeschooling journey and for persevering through the obstacles when homeschooling gets hard!
…For Taking a Classical, Christian Approach
Second, thank you for following a classical, Christian approach in educating your student.
The classical method has stood the test of thousands of years and has been proven over and over again to be successful in helping to raise some of the greatest thinkers and leaders the world has ever known.
By following this classical approach paired with a Christ-centered worldview, you are teaching your child not what to think but how to think, to communicate their ideas clearly, to respect the great works of history, to fall in love with learning, and, ultimately, to know God and to make Him known.
That’s why we believe that classical, Christian homeschooling is the best way to raise mature, inquisitive, and God-honoring students. So, thank you for choosing this approach, because the work you are putting in now will benefit your child throughout their life.

…For Leading or Participating in a Local Community
Finally, whether you are a Local Representative, a Licensed Director, a Tutor, or a parent participating in your local community—thank you.
Community is at the heart of all things Classical Conversations. But of course, there would be no local communities without the thousands of parents and leaders like you who are leading the next generation of lifelong learners together.
Thanks for showing up to community day on the weeks when you’d rather stay home, for being bold in filling a needed leadership position, and for encouraging and supporting other parents walking the homeschooling journey alongside you. Without you, there is no Classical Conversations!
