What Are the Five Pillars CC Families Pass Forward?
In this month’s Robert’s Rhetoric, Robert Bortins makes a simple point about America’s 250th anniversary. The founders were not extraordinary people who did extraordinary things by accident. They held convictions, and they acted on them.
Five of those convictions are still available to any family today:
- Pursue truth
- Preserve freedom
- Embrace stewardship
- Do hard things
- Be courageous
Most CC families already practice these without naming them. Choosing the harder book is doing hard things. Serving a neighbor is stewardship. Keeping the faith through a long school year is courage. The article offers a framework for naming these habits and passing them to the next generation on purpose.

How Does Concurrent Enrollment Work for Challenge Students?
Concurrent enrollment lets a student earn college credit while still in the Challenge program, at home and in community. The student keeps the seminar table, the tutor, and the local community. The credit transcripts to a partner college.

What Does Classical Education Look Like in India?
This month’s International Spotlight goes to Namitha, a homeschooling mother in the Dhauladhar foothills of northern India. Four years into classical Christian education, she describes a shift in how her family understands home, history, and their place in a much larger story.
Her account is a good reminder that the classical model is not an American curriculum with an American audience. The same texts and the same conversations are happening in communities on the other side of the world.
